Cross Country

On Tuesday, we had our school Cross Country.  Despite a lot of rain in the days leading up to the event, the weather was perfect and Miss Nixon and Mrs Booysens did an amazing job in their running the event.  Here are some pics.

Band concert

Last week, students from our Training Band and Concert Band combined to give a concert to our school community. 

The students really enjoyed their performance!

Middle Years Parenting Course

International Parents' meeting, Tuesday 11 March

Ten parents and five preschoolers met with Mrs Anthony and Mr Richardson to discuss our ACS Learning model (the tree) last Tuesday.  Click here HERE for a pdf of the senior learning model.

Discussion included how parents might build on this model at home.  Suggestions were made by the parents.  These included having the poster on the fridge and referring to it as appropriate with your children.  We are interested to hear other ways that families are using this model, so please add a comment here if you have used this in your home.  Your ideas will most certainly benefit other families.

Editing our writing

We are learning to edit our writing.  This means that we check our spelling carefully and make sure that our sentences make sense.

Saying of the week

Thanks to those of you who posted on last week's saying which was "What's good for the goose is good for the gander".  This means "if it is good enough for me, it is good enough for you".
